Meet 707 Prestige Edition: The Difference in the Details
From luxurious finishes to performance upgrades, discover what makes our Prestige Edition and Signature Series unique.
Behind every Bowers & Wilkins loudspeaker is the pursuit of delivering the purest sound imaginable. Our ethos of True Sound informs every decision we make when it comes to engineering and design – and that’s why our loudspeakers are recognised the world over for exceptional performance.
While we believe all of our products are exceptional, sometimes we create one that is deserving of special treatment, and we feel compelled to honour this. These special-edition products usually fall into two categories: most famously, the Bowers & Wilkins Signature – such as the 700 Series Signature and 800 Series Signature range – or the Prestige Edition, such as our new 707 Prestige Edition loudspeaker.
Although both categories are special in their own way, they have their differences. So, to celebrate the launch of our new 707 Prestige Edition, we’re going to explore what makes these highly-sought-after models so unique.
Discover Prestige Edition
Prestige is a celebration of craftsmanship, elegance and rarity. It’s a statement in design, dressing a much-loved Bowers & Wilkins loudspeaker model in one of our finest and most exclusive finishes.
In the case of the new 707 Prestige Edition, that’s Santos Gloss – a luxurious finish inspired by the Santos Rosewood chosen for the 805 D3 Prestige Edition and created using no less than 12 layers of paint and lacquer. Additionally, this bookshelf model features a unique rear logo plate that further celebrates its elevated status and can be mounted on FS-700 S3 floorstands.
Beautiful cosmetic updates aside, the 707 Prestige Edition is built on the same proven acoustic platform as the standard model, including the Carbon Dome tweeter, Continuum cone mid-bass drive unit and curved baffle.
Discover Signature Series
Over the years, a select few of our loudspeakers have received the Signature treatment, including models from our 800 Series Diamond and 700 Series. While Signature models are finished in beautifully exclusive colourways, Midnight Blue Metallic and California Burl Gloss, the most notable upgrades are in their advanced technology, optimised with enhanced insights.
The 801 D4 Signature and 805 D4 Signature feature a few key upgrades which enhance performance beyond anything we’ve ever achieved. Upgraded rear-mounted crossovers that isolate the sensitive capacitors from the effects of air pressure within the enclosure, a significantly upgraded cabinet design with an all-new, optimised aluminium top section for even greater stiffness, and an all-new design of tweeter grille, producing an even more free and open sound with high frequencies.

707 Prestige Edition: More Than a Finish
The new 707 Prestige Edition takes the Prestige concept a step further. While Prestige models are traditionally defined by their visual refinement, this edition introduces a subtle acoustic enhancement alongside its luxurious Santos Gloss finish.
To deliver an even more refined and spacious sound than the standard model, the 707 Prestige Edition adds the carefully evolved high-frequency tweeter grille mesh and upgraded, low-loss speaker terminals used in the multi-award-winning 705 S3 Signature.
These refinements are drawn from developments elsewhere in the Bowers & Wilkins range and are applied here not to redefine the speaker’s character, but to complement it. The result is a loudspeaker that remains unmistakably Prestige in intent – a celebration of design, craftsmanship and exclusivity – while offering an added layer of performance.
