True Sound on the move

In an exciting new development, the Bowers & Wilkins Music app now works with our latest generation of headphones.

The Bowers & Wilkins Music app, used to control our wireless audio products such as the Zeppelin and Panorama 3, has been designed to make listening to your favourite music even better: it brings together all your favourite music streaming services into one elegant, intuitive and utterly engaging user experience. Just search for any artist you like, and you’ll be offered all the available options for that performer across all the available streaming services you subscribe to. Simple, elegant, effortless – and fun.

Now, we’re proud to announce an all-new development for the Bowers & Wilkins Music app. We’re rolling out full Music app support to our flagship Px8 wireless headphones and also to our recently announced and highly acclaimed Px7 S2 model. That doesn’t just mean using the Music app for set-up or for adjusting your noise cancellation preferences: it means you can stream music direct from the app to your headphones, so you’ll get the same great Bowers & Wilkins experience when you’re on the move as when you’re at home.

Your music, your way

As ever, using the Bowers & Wilkins Music app gives you access to our personalised recommendation features, which become smarter and more accurate the more you use them. Use the ‘heart’ symbol to ‘love’ music that you particularly enjoy and the app will begin to learn your preferences on both artists and genres, which in turn helps it to tailor its recommendations to your tastes as you listen. Cleverly, the same feature also synchronises your favourited content across the app and your chosen music services, radio stations and podcasts. You also get access to our specially curated Playlists, with carefully selected songs chosen by our acoustic team that will both thoroughly entertain you and, of course, perfectly demonstrate the sonic capabilities of your Bowers & Wilkins product.

There’s one other fundamental you can be assured of whenever you use the new Bowers & Wilkins Music app with your headphones: superlative sound quality. Transmission from the Music app to your headphones depends on the Bluetooth specification of your mobile device, but if you own a handset that provides AptX HD or AptX Adaptive transmission, you can listen to your music in up to 24-bit /48kHz high-resolution depending on your streaming subscription.

Streaming support

We’re launching the new headphone-friendly version of the Bowers & Wilkins Music app with all three of the high-quality music streaming services we currently support: Deezer, Qobuz and Tidal. We’ll be adding more services in the months to come. Of course, owners of Bowers & Wilkins wireless products such as Zeppelin and any of the Formation range can still use the Music app to access the full range of music streaming services currently offered on the platform when they are listening at home.
